1. Carry out keyword research and analysis to define your top 12 keywords

4. Analysis your trade competitors
5. Research your current visibility for chosen keywords – to establish a yardstick for improvement?
6. Determine the quality of your back-links. Poor quality back links may actually be reducing your rankings with search engines. Where are you getting quality links (links – not traffic) from?
You are now ready to start making changes to the website.
7. Write Meta data for 10 keywords – title tag, description tag, keywords tag
8. Clean up code if required, i.e. clean html, CSS, broken links, navigation
9. Generate readable urls that match chosen keywords
10. Optimise existing site map, plus develop XML site map
11. Implement internal and external links that align with keywords
12. Append a blog to the website, and update it regularly with quality content.
